Artist biography (short)
Caroline Gueye is a Senegalese artist whose work explores perception, visibility and spatial experience through installation and sculptural environments.
Her practice focuses on how viewers orient themselves in space and how meaning emerges through distance, movement and attention.
Her work has been presented internationally, including exhibitions at KINDL – Centre for Contemporary Art (Berlin), FRAC Centre-Val de Loire (Orléans), the Musée Théodore Monod (Dakar), and the Dak’Art Biennale, where she received the ECOWAS Prize in 2022.
She lives and works between Dakar and Europe.
