QM SUPERPOSITION SERIES
Have you heard about Schrödinger's cat? This famous thought experiment where a cat locked in a box would be both dead and alive at the same time? This illustrates the principle of superposition, a fundamental principle of quantum mechanics. This principle stipulates that a state could be in different states at the same time. This principle is, to say the least, insolide applied on our scale. It is the case of Schrödinger's cat: the cat would be both dead and alive at the same time. At a quantum scale, this principle determines the spin of a particle for exemple. That is its direction, up or down : |+> or |->. Before the measurement, the particle is in both states (up and down) at the same time. This is very counter intuitive. Then the act of measuring defines the particle in only one of the two states. I am very interested in phenomena in physics that could eventually find "equivalence" in another field on a precise scale. I created this series of game where the cards would be represented in their simultaneous different states, that is to say that they are the both cards at the same time. I chose the symbole of the cards because I relate their design (up, down) to the spin of a particle. I invite the visitor to measure how much the behavior at the quantum scale is contrary to our intuition.
